webOS OSE 2.15.0 Release

Chromuium Upgrade to v91

The web engine of webOS OSE has been upgraded from Chromium 87 to Chromium 91. This upgrade to a more up-to-date version includes major security and performance enhancements. See New in Chrome 91 for more information.

Keyboard & Mouse Support

webOS OSE has added support for keyboard and mouse. Luna Surface Manager (LSM) has been modified to deal with input from keyboard and mouse devices. Users now can conveniently interact with the system UI with much comfort. In addition, keyboard shortcuts have been added to launch the Settings app (F1 key) and the Home Launcher (Windows key) quickly.

Rendering Performance and Animation Quality Improvement

webOS OSE has been putting effort to provide better Qt development experience. Recently it has improved rendering performance and animation quality of Qt apps, making OSE the platform of choice for open source Qt development.

Samples Section Published

The webOS OSE developer site has published the Samples section where sample apps and solutions are posted. Developers can learn from the provided samples how to get started and incorporate OSE features in their development.
